Connect Beauty

On November 18th, Fashion Takes Action co-hosted the Connect Beauty event with the Women's Healthy Environments Network. The event was at the buzzing Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto, and was a great success for highlighting all the ways women can express their beauty without using products or wearing clothes that are toxic to their bodies or the planet.  Kelly Drennan addressed the crowd, many of whom were new to the idea of ecofashion. Our Members AIME, Bazant Unique Adornments, Thieves and Sarah Stevenson were there to help the cause.

All the clothing designers, while not sustainable in all they do (it’s a journey!), are taking steps in that direction. We want to celebrate their efforts!
