TAMMACHAT’s fairly traded, organic silk scarves are timeless fashion accessories of incredible quality. They are handwoven in limited editions from artisanal silk yarns that are naturally dyed in gem-stone colours. Co-designed by TAMMACHAT of Nova Scotia and women’s weaving groups in Thailand and Laos, they are unique in Canada.
Today’s conscious customers can be assured that by wearing TAMMACHAT they help women artisans sustain and celebrate their families, communities, environments and cultures. And for every scarf sold, TAMMACHAT gives a child in Laos their first book, published in that country by Big Brother Mouse (www.bigbrothermouse). Organic silk fabric is also available by the metre.
